My Name is Gene Jimenez, (Short for Eugene)
Here in this site I hope to share my story and the ups
and downs of dealing with this difficult part of my life.
Through the sharing of these experiences, I hope to bring a sense of control over my own journey with this illness, and at the same time hopefully help someone who reads it, with a clearer understanding of what to expect in their own
journey.
I will share everything that I have gone through in dealing with doctors, diagnoses, therapy and all the issues good and bad that come from them.
From group therapy to individual therapy to medication. I will tell you how it was that I realized how little some people including many “professionals” know about Bipolar Disorder and it’s treatment.
I will also share what has worked and not worked for me. How good and bad at times it has been while learning about this illness, everything from suicide attempts to elation to confusion.
I would like to clearly emphasize that what I share here is just MY experiences, and that what has worked and not worked for me is going to be different for each person suffering with this illness.
I hope that you join me in my quest to share and help myself and maybe others while doing so.
